Engine 22, Rescue 22 and Brush 22 responded to a single-car accident on January 7. Firefighters utilized Res-Q-Jack equipment recently donated by a grant through the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to stabilize the vehicle prior to accessing the patient. Firefighters then accessed the patient by removing the front windsheild. Pelzer and MedShore emergency medical services then packaged and loaded the patient into an awaiting ambulance.

Whitefield firefighters assist West Pelzer FD with auto accident involving overturned fuel tanker
On November 4, Whitefield firefighters assisted West Pelzer FD with an auto accident involving an overturned tanker truck hauling approximately 8, 800 gallons of fuel. Firefighters assisted with setting up a landing zone for the LifeFlight helicopter and provided manpower for the accident scene. Engine 22 and Rescue 22 responded along with several HazMat units.

Whitefield firefighters respond to car vs. building
On November 4, Rescue 22 responded to the Exxon station on Highway 29 N at Breazeale Rd for an auto accident involving a structure. No one was injured in the accident.
Whitefield FD responds to two-car accident with entrapment
On September 10, Whitefield FD was dispatched to a two-car auto accident. One patient required extrication. Broadway FD, West Pelzer FD, Williamston EMS, Pelzer EMS and Belton EMS assisted.

Carrageen Dr Structure Fire
Whitefield FD, along with Piercetown FD and West Pelzer FD responded to a house fire on July 17. First arriving personnel observed fire in the garage area, but the fire quickly spread throughout the home. A primary search was conducted for possible occupants. It was later determined that no one was home at the time of the fire.

Moores Mill Rd Structure Fire
Whitefield firefighters responded to Moores Mill Rd in Pelzer on July 16 to assist West Pelzer FD and Wren FD with R.I.T. Engine 22 and Brush 22 responded with manpower.
Beaverdam Rd Structure Fire
Whitefield and West Pelzer firefighters assisted Piercetown FD with a mobile home fire on July 15. The fully involved fire took several hours to control.
Hwy 20 Brush Fire
Whitefield FD was dispatched to assist Cheddar FD with Brush 22 on July 15. The fire, believed to have started from a electric overhead line, burned approximately 14 acres at two locations. Several nearby departments assisted with tankers, engines and grass trucks.

On July 9, Whitefield FD was dispatched to assist Cheddar FD with an overturned fuel tanker on Highway 20 @ Boiter Rd. Whitefield, along with responders from Friendship, Rock Springs, West Pelzer, Belton and Williamston fire stations provided manpower and water supply while HazMat technicians worked to control fuel leaks from the tanker.
