On December 4, Whitefield firefighters responded to a residential structure fire on H.I. Taylor Rd. No injuries were reported in the fire, and the cause is under investigation. West Pelzer, Cheddar and Piercetown Fire Departments assisted.

Traffic Accident – Old Williamston Rd
Traffic Accident – Welcome Rd
On August 4, Whitefield and West Pelzer firefighters assisted Piercetown Fire Department with a head-on collision on Welcome Rd near the intersection of Reidville Rd. Multiple injuries were reported in the crash, and several victims required extrication. A landing zone was also secured for one patient to be flown to a nearby hospital.
Traffic Accident – US 29 North at Cromer Rd
On August 2, Whitefield firefighters responded to a traffic accident on US 29 North at Cromer Rd across the highway from the scene of a wreck earlier this week. Six victims were assessed on scene for injuries. Firefighters assisted Medshore Ambulance Service with victim assessments and provided traffic control while awaiting the arrival of the SC Highway Patrol.

Traffic Accident – US 29 North @ Old Williamston Road
On August 2, Whitefield firefighters responded to a head-on traffic accident at the intersection of US 29 North and Old Williamston Rd. Three victims were transported to local hospitals for assessment of their injuries. US 29 North was closed for over an hour while emergency responders worked the scene and awaited the arrival of the SC Highway Patrol.

Traffic Accident – Anderson Hwy @ US 29 North
On July 30, Whitefield firefighters responded to a single car traffic accident on the Anderson Highway ramp to US 29 North. Upon arrival, two patients were observed to have been ejected from the vehicle. A Life Flight medical helicopter was summoned to the scene by EMS. Firefighters blocked US 29 North to provide a landing zone for the helicopter, and assisted EMS with patient care.

Structure Fire Assist – Oakridge Ct
On March 5, Whitefield, Centerville and Anderson City firefighters assisted Hopewell Fire Department with a residential structure fire on Oakridge Ct. Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze while several engines and tankers shuttled water from a fire hydrant several thousand feet away.
Responding units: Engine 20, Truck 20, Rescue 20, Engine 9, Tanker 9, Salvage 9, Grass 9, Tanker 22, Engine 22, Brush 22, Anderson City Engine 2 and Battalion 1.
Structure Fire – Allie Campbell Rd
On February 17, Whitefield firefighters were dispatched to a building fire on Allie Campbell Rd. Firefighters encountered icy road conditions enroute to the scene, but were able to stop the fire short of an adjacent residence. A small engine repair shop and several storage buildings were destroyed in the fire. Whitefield firefighters were assisted by Cheddar, Hopewell and West Pelzer Fire Departments.
Responding units: Engine 22, Engine 22-1, Tanker 22, Brush 22, Engine 12, Engine 12-1, Grass 12, Engine 20, Rescue 20, Grass 20, Engine 6 and Tanker 6.
Structure Fire – Shelia Dr
On January 17, Whitefield and Piercetown firefighters were dispatched to a residential structure fire on Shelia Dr. Firefighters conducted an interior attack and brought the blaze under control within several minutes. The fire was contained to the garage. West Pelzer FD assisted with manpower and handled a separate grass fire nearby. No injuries were reported.
Responding units: Engine 22, Engine 22-1, Tanker 22, Rescue 22, Engine 13, Tanker 13 and Rescue 6.
Structure Fire Assist – Wateree Ln
On January 11, Whitefield firefighters assisted West Pelzer FD with a residential structure fire on Wateree Ln. Tankers supplied water from a nearby hydrant. The home was vacant and no injuries were reported. Williamston EMS stood by on scene while West Pelzer, Whitefield and Piercetown firefighters extinguished the fire.
