Structure Fire – Dana Dr

On January 10, Whitefield and Broadway firefighters responded to a mobile home fire on Dana Dr, across US 29 N from the Whitefield Fire Department. The occupants made it out of the home safely, and no injuries were reported. Williamston EMS stood by on scene while firefighters completed an interior attack on the fire.

Responding units: Engine 22, Rescue 22, Engine 8, Engine 8-1

Whitefield firefighters responded to 181 incidents in 2014:

76 Auto Accidents (54 with injuries, 22 with no injuries),

Structure Fire Assist – US 29 N near Cox Rd

On January 5, Whitefield firefighters assisted Broadway FD with a residential structure fire along US 29 N near Cox Rd. Upon arrival, flames were observed to have extended into the attic and through the roof. No occupants were home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Williamston EMS stood by while firefighters extinguished the fire.

Responding units: Engine 8-1, Tanker 8, Engine 22, Engine 22-1 and Rescue 22

Annual Meeting and Board Elections

The Annual Meeting for the Whitefield Fire District #22 will be held at the station, 4000 Highway 29 North, Belton, SC on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 7:00 pm.  The purpose of this meeting is to elect Board of Directors for the station.

Whitefield Fire Department 2014 Awards Banquet

On December 19, the Whitefield FD hosted their annual Christmas dinner and awards banquet at the Bleckley Inn. Firefighter Brad Guin received the Firefighter of the Year award, Junior Firefighter Josh Guin received the Explorer of the Year award, and Firefighter Nick Chastain received a Black Helmet award in anticipation of his upcoming high school graduation. Through Firefighter Chastain’s high school courses, he has already received National Firefighter I certification. Congratulations guys on your accomplishments.
