On January 10, Whitefield and Broadway firefighters responded to a mobile home fire on Dana Dr, across US 29 N from the Whitefield Fire Department. The occupants made it out of the home safely, and no injuries were reported. Williamston EMS stood by on scene while firefighters completed an interior attack on the fire.

On January 5, Whitefield firefighters assisted Broadway FD with a residential structure fire along US 29 N near Cox Rd. Upon arrival, flames were observed to have extended into the attic and through the roof. No occupants were home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Williamston EMS stood by while firefighters extinguished the fire.

The Annual Meeting for the Whitefield Fire District #22 will be held at the station, 4000 Highway 29 North, Belton, SC on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 7:00 pm. The purpose of this meeting is to elect Board of Directors for the station.

On December 19, the Whitefield FD hosted their annual Christmas dinner and awards banquet at the Bleckley Inn. Firefighter Brad Guin received the Firefighter of the Year award, Junior Firefighter Josh Guin received the Explorer of the Year award, and Firefighter Nick Chastain received a Black Helmet award in anticipation of his upcoming high school graduation. Through Firefighter Chastain’s high school courses, he has already received National Firefighter I certification. Congratulations guys on your accomplishments.

On October 31, Whitefield firefighters responded to a single car accident on Cheddar Rd. A utility pole and several trees were struck prior to the vehicle coming to a stop just before US 29 N. The driver was transported to a local hospital by Williamston EMS.

On October 28, Whitefield firefighters were dispatched to an accident involving an overturned concrete truck. Firefighters checked for hazards, provided traffic control and assisted Williamston EMS with patient care.

On October 17, Whitefield firefighters were dispatched to a two-car accident at the intersection of US 29 N @ Ellison Lake Rd. Firefighters checked for hazards, assisted Williamston EMS with patient care and provided traffic control.
