Whitefield firefighters, assisted by West Pelzer and Cheddar fire departments, responded to a residential structure fire on September 8. The house was fully involved upon arrival of Engine 22. No one was at home at the time of the fire.
Firefighters responded to a repoort of a kitchen fire on August 31. The fire, on Big Woods Circle, was out on arrival. The tenant was transported to the hospital by Williamston EMS with minor burns.
Whitefield FD, along with three other stations, responded to a house fire at 4:40 AM on August 24. Whitefield firefighters, assisted by Piercetown FD, Broadway FD and Hopewell FD extinguished the fire at a home on Stringer Rd. The cause of fire has not been determined.
Engine 22, Engine 22-1 and Grass 22-1 responded to a report of a control burn threatening an outbuilding on August 21. Upon arrival, firefighters extinguished the control burn to prevent further damage to adjacent properties.
Whitefield and West Pelzer firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire on August 15. Upon arrival, firefighters quickly extinguished a small fire in a room of the mobile home that resulted from a radio-controlled airplane “flight box” overheating and catching fire while the battery was being charged.
Whitefield firefighters responded to Anderson Highway August 8th for a reported motor vehicle accident with vehicle fire. Upon arrival, firefighters quickly extinguished a vehicle fire. The driver escaped the vehicle unharmed.
