On March 17, Whitefield and Broadway firefighters responded to Stringer Rd for a residential structure fire. Fire was observed to be showing through the roof upon arrival, but a quick interior attack by fire personnel prevented the fire from consuming the structure. The home was vacant and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
