On May 8, the Whitefield Fire Department was dispatched to US 29 N at Anderson Hwy for a traffic accident. Upon arrival, firefighters observed a vehicle vs. power pole with vehicle fire. Firefighters confirmed all occupants were out of the vehicle, checked for any electrical and other hazards, and extinguished the fire. MedShore Ambulance Service transported one patient to a local hospital with minor injuries.
