Fire Safety with Whitefield Child Development Center
On October 3, the Whitefield Fire Department had over 60 special visitors. Preschoolers from the Whitefield Child Development Center visited the station to learn about fire safety. Firefighters dressed in full gear, taught the children how to stop, drop and roll, and let them “put out a fire” with the fire extinguisher.

Smoke Detectors Available
Any resident of Anderson County in need of a free smoke detector may contact Anderson County Fire Dispatch at 864-222-3904. An Anderson County Fire Protection Commission representative will then schedule an appointment to come out and properly install the smoke detector.
