FF Michael Ryan Presented Courage and Life Saving Award at County Fire Chiefs Banquet

On January 23, FF Michael Ryan was presented a Courage and Life Saving Award at the annual County Fire Chiefs Banquet.

On June 30, 2016, the Whitefield Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire with
entrapment. Michael arrived on scene as the fire was being dispatched, donned his personal protective equipment
and entered the burning home to search for an occupant. He located the occupant in a bedroom closet and pulled her
to safety. Michael’s heroic actions directly resulted in the saving of a human life.

We extend our congratulations to FF Ryan on receiving this award.
